SUB OHM
« on: July 10, 2017, 08:26:39 PM »
Hi all
Still sub ohm vaping using 0.2ohm NI coil in my Tornado11 4ml airflow tank. Have found it to be very reliable.
RETTLIEN

I've got to ask, this is a question that I ask everyone! lol

Do you mouth to lung inhale RETTLIEN or Direct lung inhale. I'm assuming direct to lung with the low ohms?

Yup CK.
I guess I do direct to lung inhale. Never been very sure actually; but if it is direct to lung it doesn't seem to go down all the way.
Plenty of vapour though which might suggest I don't inhale all that far, otherwise the vapour would mostly dissipate in the lung.
Don't really know.
RETT ???

Well direct to lung means just sucking the vapour straight into the lungs. You don't pause for a minute with it in your mouth, and then drawn it back to your lungs.

With sub ohm coils and heavy VG mixes, the vapour doesn't really dissipate in the lungs like it would with a high ohm mouth to lung coil, and 50/50 ratio. You can inhale a fair old bit of vapour, and blow out quite a cloud!!

Stealth vaping doesn't really work with sub ohm attys! lol

The last few weeks I have been gravitating more towards DL inhaling. It started with the corsair 0.5ohm coils, I would be sitting there watching netflix, and then realize that I was DL inhaling. However I think cos I'm using rebuildables with sub ohm coils and airy drawers, its just happening naturally with all of those too.

Yeah I had read that, which is one of the things that prompted the question
But thinking about it  the question was probably a little out of context in this thread  :ashamed:

In all fairness it kind of happened out of the blue. I didn't even realize I was doing it at first, lol. Plus hubby can't stand the noise that DL and sub ohm makes... untill he came back with a DL tank and then it was fine!
So yep, I am tending to DL more than MTL now which is kind of annoying cos I prefer to MTL, but I'm doing it less and less!  :fp2:

And DL with a sub ohm coil, is more comfortable than trying to MTL with one, and adjusting airflow etc and never managing to get it right.... is just a pain in the bum

Lol Julie, sounds like you've got a whole pile of conflicts going on there  ;D
Yeah, the sub ohm tanks do seem to be noisy but it really doesn't bother me tbh. The rda's on my squonks are a bit quieter though

In time, I'm sure the DL thing will become more and more the normal and natural way for you.
It is the best for flavour after all  ;)
