I gave the Red Dragon a proper bath today, as it was looking pretty bedraggled. The outside was all tarnished and yucky, so I dropped all the copper bits into a white vinegar bath for a couple hours. Cleaned them right up. While those were soaking, I took the stainless bits and gave them a thorough cleaning as well, made sure the o-rings were still sealing properly and all that.

Once I dried everything off real well, I made a simple twisted SS coil to test drive it (2.5mm, 6 coils.) I put it on the other Forza, gradually worked it up to 400F (205C), and it's working great. It was a little more fiddly than the Tibet, owing to the much smaller base, but everything tucked in okay and apparently nothing shorted, so that's progress.

Oh, and I put a thin coat of WD40 on the copper bits too, to see if that doesn't slow down the tarnishing a bit. Made sure it was all on the exterior, as I didn't want to taste lubricant with my vape. So far, everything is working well, and really enjoying the flavour that comes through. A lost little treasure, it seems, that one.

Thanks again, zim, for putting me on the right track. Soon as I'm able, I'll look into ordering some of that esoteric wire stock to try my hand at those exotic coils. :)
