I've had no problems with my coil master set, been using it over a year and it's fine. I do however use a multi meter for checking ohms though.

But the ohm meter in the kit is good for building and checking ohms, if I decided to use that instead?

Getting a coil jig, cutters, tweezers, the cheapest ohm meter and something else would bring me to about 30. Do I need ceramic tweezers for coils or just isolated tweezers?

The coil master kit is 55, the only pro I see is the coil master jig, otherwise I'd buy the UD jig.

Has anyone here used both the Govad and Ammit 25?

I use ceramic tweezers simply because you can pulse the coil while also squeezing it with the ceramic part.

Just a little tip cheapest is not always the best option if you are serious about taking up coil building and carry on doing so I personally would choose the best you can afford it will last you longer and give you truer readings of your ohms

I second what Zim says... that way you're also not paying out twice either. Once for the crappy starter stuff, and then again when you decide you want better

The struggle has not ended :D

Should I pay 18 more for a Smoant Charon instead of Modefined Sirius? Would it be a better choice?

Yeah, thanks. I should stop with the mod and continue my battle of Govad vs Ammit 25. :P

I would later have to destroy the coin in revenge, I'm afraid...

So I actually value being leak-proof over flavor, if the change in flavor is minimal. Would Govad serve me well then? I could also fit a 11mm long 4mm diameter fused coil into it for super flavor lol.

I don't have a Govad sorry  :embarrased:

I think eventually you are just going to have to take the plunge, even with the greatest reviews in the world, its still peoples personal opinions, and they might be different to yours.

Pick one that doesn't leak, that you like the look of, and buy it!

The tides have turned. I decided I'll go for the Ammit 25!

Now the hardest part - aesthetics. I've never had to play with color of mod vs color of tank. Would it look neat if I got the red plated Sirius and a black Ammit? Or go for silver Ammit or Sirius?
